I’ve always been visually oriented and am passionate about the process of creating art through photography.
But also, for me photography is therapy. It takes my mind off my problems in life, it’s a new start after brain cancer and an exploration of my new home. I moved to the Boston area for better medical care.
I’m quite taken with the North Shore. I’ve lived coast to coast and it’s the first time I’ve felt comfortable and relaxed. I strive to capture the feeling my spiritual home evokes, from the rocky coastline to sandy beaches, fishing villages and nautical themes. The distinctive architecture and the history of place are featured throughout my work.
Nature is predominant in my photographs and New England enjoys all four seasons. There’s nothing like autumn in New England, when the colors are brilliant and the air turns crisp. It’s prime shooting time.
Photographing in New England, I find peace.
A portion of the proceeds from my photography is donated to the ABTA (American Brain Tumor Association).
